What does the Association of Design Education (ADE) do?

The ADE is a professional association of those involved in the fields of interior redesign education, interior decorating education, and home staging education (real estate staging education) that provides post-training support and continuing education to all its members.  Members receive the following benefits:

  • A monthly E-Newsletter that educates them on a variety of topics including marketing, business, product                   information and discount programs.
  • Monthly tele-seminars hosted by industry leaders on a variety of topics.  Past speakers include Sharon MacDonald - Interim Furnishings, Neil Gordon - The Designer's Coach, and Margi Kyle - We Make Color Easy.  Topics change monthly and range from business to creative.
  • The opportunity to join our Mentoring Teams.   These small groups are designed to support you and your business.
  • Discounts on products and services to jump start your business and keep it running smoothly.
  • A business listing on our website to gain exposure.

  • Discounts towards other continuing education programs including tele-seminars and webinars.

Who are the Education Affiliates?

To become an ADE Education Affiliate, each program and instructor must meet strict requirements in interior redesign training, interior decorating training, and home staging (real estate staging) training programs.  These requirements include a minimum number of years in business and in the field of instructing.  All programs must meet a certain number of credits necessary to gain either associate or professional status.  This includes a set number of hours in the field and in the classroom and includes both creative and business study.   Programs and instructors meet state and/or post-secondary education requirements to ensure you are receiving the best education possible.

Does the ADE offer interior redesign, interior decorating, or home staging training programs?

Each educator/program is an independent business and educator specializing in interior redesign education, interior decorating education, and/or home staging education (real estate staging education). They DO NOT teach for the ADE.  Some of the educators or Education Affiliates you see listed are involved with a variety of organizations in addition to the ADE.  The group of educators instruct in areas of interior decorating, interior redesign, home staging, color, window treatments, Feng Shui and may include programs in classroom, tele-class and webinars formats.  If you are searching for a program, please visit the Education Affiliates or Programs page to find a program and instructor that meets your needs.

In Summary:

The interior redesign, interior decorating, and real estate staging (home staging) educators listed understand the need to work together.  By pooling their efforts, sharing information and networking with each another, they are able to bring their students more information, support and continuing education so the road to success is that much smoother to travel on.
