Hands-on Design

Jane Pollak, whose media presence includes the New York Times, American
Way magazine, and The Today Show will share with us a tried and true
formula to get your name in the press on a regular basis.  Whether you
are looking for regional press or global coverage, you will learn everything
you need to know from this powerful session.

Tired of hearing the same old thing about marketing?  Then you’ll be
thrilled by this information-packed, highly interactive presentation and
discussion about how to succeed in business – and why you may not be
seeing that success right now! (Hint: it’s not all about the economy.)
You’ll work alone and in groups to come up with a plan to create the
distinction you need to succeed.

Patti Morrow, Executive Director of the Interior Design Protection
Council, will be sharing what you need to know about the assault
on those of us in the design business – and how that impacts you,
regardless of the type of work you do.  Whether you are a designer,
decorator, stager, or redesigner, find out what serious issues you may
be confronting, and what you can do about them.

Your favorite question and answer session is back!  Bring your
most pressing question and have it answered by the individual of your
choosing, or by the entire group!  This is a wonderful time to share ideas,
concerns, questions, or insights relating to your business – all designed to
help you grow in 2010 and beyond!

Karen Howland-Walker (KH Window Fashions, Inc.) and Marie
Mouradian (Window Designs Etc by Marie Mouradian) understand
the challenges facing designers and decorators when it comes to window
treatments.  During this seminar, they will introduce you to the fundamen-
tals for a well-designed window treatement that will enhance any room
you are working in.  And you’ll get a sneak peek at the latest fabrics,
products, and details to “wow” your clients for the fall.

Jane Pollak is back to end the day with an inspirational message to help
you take your business to the next level.  This is the perfect time to hear
from an expert who has seen and done it all in her 30+ years of operating
her own business.  Jane teaches key business concepts and illustrate
the universality of business experience while relating tales of her successful enterprise as an artist, author, coach and professional speaker. Each listener will profit from hearing the enthusiasm, drive, and persistence it takes to thrive in one’s own small business.

Christine Conway, Certified Feng Shui Practitioner, will share with us the importance of feng shui in both our personal and our professional lives.Whether you want to improve the chi in a home you are designing, redesigning, or preparing to sell, Christine will share with you the tipsand techniques to help you succeed.  And she’ll help you take those sametips to your home and office to improve your own quality of life.
